I'm trying to use the ROWID value for segmenting a table unload, but I'm having a problem with negative ROWIDs. In the past I was able to get past the issue by rebuilding(defragging) the table, the results were all positive ROWIDs starting with 257. Presently, the rebuilding of a table is not yielding the same results as last time, I'm still ending up with negative ROWIDs. I'm wondering if I just go luck the previous times. Are negative ROWIDs normal? If not, is there an official method for clearing this up? I'm running IDS 7.31 on HP-UX 11.0.B Thanks in Advance. What a negative value suggest to me is that your ROWID value has a value 0x80000000 or larger, and this shows as a negative number. Normal - no. Incorrect - not necessarily.
