I had tried researching this awhile ago when Johnathon Leffler had mentioned that there is an un-documented, un-supported way of doing a get_fldbuf() in pre-4.1 releases of Informix-4GL. I sent him mail asking for a few pointers but I never heard back :-( Anyway, Johnathon, if your listening... do you have any suggestions, tips, and/or pointers?
