DLT's and ontape

Has anyone used a Digital Linear Tape(DLT) device with Informix-DSA 7.11? I would like to know the type of success/failure people have been having. We are looking at a DLT4000. They say we can get upto 40GB with compression. A must for the size of the databases we will be backing up. thanks.......
