Ontape slow on IDS 7.31UD1

Hello,
Suddenly, since last tuesday, backup of our IDS 7.31 system with "ontape -s"
takes much longer than before (>12 hours instead of 5).
We don't understand why because we did not change any parameter.
We tried with new DLT tape and reboot server, but no improvement.
Has anyone of you an idea?
Thanks.

SOunds like the very old page bug. Your page modofied timestamp (which is just
the sequential number of page mods since the server was initialized) has
wrapped
past 2^32 and now almost all of your disk pages look like they haven't been
backed up. The engine detects this condition and corrects it by restamping all
those pages the next time you archive the instance. Rewritting large portions
of your instance's storage is what's taking the time. It will go on for several
archives if you don't correct it manually as only a small range of
later/earlier stamp values is updated to prevent the archive from running for
days. Tech support has a utility to do that, you have to open a support call
and they'll log into your instance and fix the problem. Later releases (9.30+
IB) changed how this is done so that archives are not affected.
