My understanding, however flawed, is that the SQL }language itself has been moved from the ISQL bundle into the engine bundle. } }What used to be ISQL probably needs a new name, since the SQL language is }elsewhere in the product set. But whatever it is now called, I would expect it }to be the logical upgrade for folks holding Ace/Perform licenses. Since you }hold an engine license and a tools (Ace/Perform) license, your upgrade would }still have all that stuff. Only now the SQL language is "attached" in a }different place. I hope that makes sense; it's kinda hard to explain. For what it's worth, my understanding of the situation is: DBACCESS is provided with 5.00 OnLine or SE. It is a new tool, but is very similar to the ISQL menu minus the Form, Report and User Menu options. ISQL is not available at version 5.00 (and probably never will be). I don't know whether a 6.00 version will be released. However, if you want to use Perform (Forms), or ACE (Reports), or User Menus, you will need the ISQL product. You also get the Query Language and Database and Table options, which are similar to those in DBACESS (but the one's in DBACCESS have some 5.00 only features which are obviously not present in the 4.10 ISQL product). Forms and Reports and User Menus are not available, and probably never will be available, as separate products -- they will be part of ISQL. And DBACCESS is not a separate product -- it is one of the tools provided with the engines. It eliminates one f the reasons for buying ISQL, but does not and will not proviude the forms capability, or the reports capability.
