For the benefit of Delphi users that also use Informix databases: Well, it's a spam allright, but they do support Informix databases through ODBC. This would have been fine if they haden't used DAO and the Jet Engine for the purpose. This leads to very slow access unless they are able to use ODBCdirect which bypass the JetEngine. The current way of implementing ODBC connectivity via Microsoft based products is to use RDO. Microsoft is however in the process of changing all database access over to something they call ADO (ActiveX Database Objects i think). The alternative is to call the ODBC API directly. Someone who claims to have client/server products for MS Windows will have to adress these things. If they don't I would be *very* carefull using their products. PS: If you don't know what DAO, RDO and/or ADO is check out the Microsoft web site.
