Re: Enabling NLS in informix

The proper place to look for information is at http://www.informix.com/answers/ Select INFORMIX-OnLine Dynamic Server Then select INFORMIX-OnLine Dynamic Server 7.22 and Later for UNIX Then go down to Guide to GLS Functionality, Version 7.2 GLS (Global Language Support) is the new system that has replaced NLS (National Language Support). As I have not used any of them yet I don't realy know the difference. It does however seem to me that you ought to use GLS as that is what Informix will support in future products. Of course it would require you to upgrade to a 7.x version of the engine, but you should probably do that anyway. ssatoor@adaclabs.com (Sanjiv Satoor) wrote: :We are using Informix Ver 5.0 (server and ESQL/C) on Solaris 2.x and Sun :OS 4.x running on a Sun workstation.
