Re: IDS versions

Resend, I might have killed the original post so: Informix versions are formed as: <Major>.<Minor><PlatformLetter><ReleaseLevel><ReleaseVersion><PatchVersion> The PlatformLetters are: U - Unix 32bit T - Windows F - Unix 64bit H - Unix 32bit to run on 64bit platform (exclusive to HP) ReleaseLevels start with: C - First release level D - Major bug/minor feature release PatchVersion indicates a single bug fix often for a single platform or a single customer initially and take the for X<n> where <n> is a small integer. Patch versions are not cumulative, ie the X6 patch may not include anything from X1-X5 and X6 may be available on only one platform. Major, Minor, ReleaseLevel, and ReleaseVersion are normally upgraded in sync across platforms. Patches are almost always platform specific. Art S.
