Termcap for dtterm using colors

We are running CDE on HP-UX 10.20 and have color xterminals. I want to use colors within Informix perform and 4gl screen forms being run in a dtterm session. We are running Informix 4gl 4.17. When I telnet into a Linux machine that has a dtterm terminfo entry, I get various word level colors. So I know that the dtterm that our HP is running can display more than just the fg/bg colors. I have created a termcap entry using infocmp -C and added it to the termcap file. Cursor motion, etc works fine. Now I need color. The xterm with color that is in the archive does not work.
