Client-Declaration

Hi, im totaly new in database-connectivity, but i have to connect to an already installed informix-Online 7.22 DatabaseServer. I've installed the client-software (cli) and used to configure the client with setnet32 but it does not work anyway. Can anybody send me an instruction, how i can install the client and then access to the dbserver with odbc. Thanx for help aw
