I want to define a insert type trigger on a table. when the insert sql succeed on the base table, I want the trigger body will be executed,I don't care for whether the trigger body will be committed or rollbacked; When the insert SQL failed on the base table, the trigger willn't be executed. How to implement it in IDS? thanks for your time.
INSERT triggers will fire before, after, or for each row of the insert. You have to control, using transaction commit or rollback whether the triggered action is committed or rolled back as it is part of the transaction that controls the insert itself. Art Art S.
