They had OnLine, ISQL and ESQL-C runtimes (V4.00), and wanted to update to V4.10. They bought update only maintenance (for about ;960), and could then get free (well media charge only) updates. However, we did have problems obtaining this maintenance. Informix Tech Support in the UK said that there was no such thing. I had seen it advertised in an Informix brochure entitled 'Customer Services'. The first section of this brochure is 'Technical Services', and details Update Support, Regency Suport and Strategic Support. When we pointed this out to Informix, they said that they would have to look into it, and eventually (after about 4 days of us phoning them), they gave us a quote.
