Hey Joe, Yes, Memphis *is* the home of the blues. Historians consider W.C. Handy's songs as the beginning. Also, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Koko Taylor, Junior Wells, and on and on and on all came from that area. The King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, Ark., is a 4-day, free blues festival highlighting the heritage that's in the Ark/Miss delta.
