dbimport error
I export and import database. But when import it has error statement too long. I found some table have about 10000 columns. like this tabname res1290 owner idsdb partnum 3166547 tabid 122382 rowsize 22136 ncols 10939 nindexes 1 nrows 342 created 05/09/2005 version -565247951 tabtype T locklevel P npused 342 fextsize 5012 nextsize 5012 flags 0 Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.30.HC4 anyone have any idea? How to import this table?
Hi,
to create a table with 10000 columns you would need a huge SQL-statement,
larger than the limit of 64 KB .
To verify that you could do a dbschema -ss -d <database> -t <table>
cr_table.sql
and try to run that sql-file: dbaccess <new_db> < cr_table.sql
I think you will get the same error.
Possible solution: Change the SQL-file in the dbexport/dbimport directory
not to create/load the huge tables. After the dbimport create the tables
manually (create a small part of the table, run a few alter tables :-? ) and
try to load the data manually (load or dbload). Good luck!
Or: Ask the application developer if the table is correct! It doesn't look
like a good relational model :-)
