Jim,
I have been using the ALTER tablename MODIFY columnname. Where
the MODIFY is actually not changing the column definition. It is
just forcing a rebuild with NO changes to the table. Pick a
column in the table and enter it in the MODIFY section of the
command, but do not change the definition.
My understanding of the ALTER index CLUTER command is that it
does work, but it also takes longer than the ALTER/MODIFY. If
your table is relatively static this might be better. But if
the table is dynamic, the order of your table is going to be
messed up thereby needing to be maintained more frequently.
