Log files switching before full?

hi, what will cause a server to consistently switch to the next log before the current log is full? i've looked at all the scenarios i can think of, and can't see anything on this system that would cause this, yet it is very consistent. it is rare that a log file actually fills up, and they are varying sizes, some small, some larger. i have looked for the obvious, an onmode command coming from somewhere, things like this, but can't find anything. i have poured through the manuals as well as my own notes and experience, can't find it. anyone? mickm -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a signature file.
