RE: SEEKING INFORMATION FROM INFROMIX DEVELOPER

I'm always a bit puzzled by requests like this one, which seem to be rather common. There are hundreds of full-time Informix salespeople who will gladly provide prospective customers with lots of information about their products. I understand the desire for third-party opinions on performance and bugs, but for pricing, licensing and technical specifications, I can't help but think that a newsgroup is an inefficient way to obtain that information. Or am I missing the point? Mainly I need to know which type of databases the product will support or does it provide it's own, the number of users it can accomodate, is it run in a client/server enviornment, query effeciency, cost?, and some info on run-time licensing. Any feedback would be deeply appreciated, and I thank you for your time. Peace, Patrick.
