Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Tri Trinh, on IDS 10.00.FC6 on HP-UX, asked about known issues upgrading to 11.50.FC6. Peter Logan found only a dbload bug, worked around by copying dbload from FC5. Kernoal Stephens advised ample dbspace room, especially rootdbs, and CONVERSION_GUARD 0. Art Kagel said early xC6 fixpacks through W2 have serious bugs and recommended xC6W3 or later. Tri decided on 11.50.xC6W3.

Hi,
We are running IDS 10.00.FC6 on HP-UX B.11.11. We are planning to upgrade our
IDS to the latest version V11.50.FC6
If you are already upgraded to IDS V11.50.FC6 please let us know if there are
any known issues. Any comments would be appreciated.
I have FC6 in a QA environment ... The only issue I ran into was with
dbload ... there is a bug in it ... Don't remember the defect number ...
Work around ... copied dbload from v11.50.fc5 ....

Make sure you have plenty of room in your dbspaces for internal conversion of
the upgrade. Specifically the rootdbs.
Turn off conversion guard in onconfig for version 11.50 using CONVERSION_GUARD
0
If you want to use conversion guard check for the latest version of >
11.50.XC6W2 for defect.
Check the release notes and migration guide.
Scott Lashley had a great presentation on conversion guard at the 2010 IIUG
conference last week. Maybe he will upload the latest slides so we can post
them on the iiug website.
Kernoal
There are a couple of serious bugs in the early fixpacks of xC6 through the
W2 fixpack. The word is that you want to install 11.50.xC6W3 or later. The
release notes, which are available on the IBM Informix library pages, have
the known bugs fixed and not fixed at each fixpack listed.
