Ok, I give in. I tried to display a menu in one single line.
What I did is about the following:
OPEN WINDOW w_p_men AT 2,2 WITH 1 ROWS, 77 COLUMNS ATTRIBUTE(BORDER)
I need that window for a multipurpose window in a mask where I have
not very much room ... As one might expect, the menu is not very nice:
It's all blank, because those help lines overwrite the menu items. It
is LAST LINE == FIRST LINE, that's the problem. I tried attributes, no
help.
attribute (border, message line last + 1, error line 100000, prompt line 0)
:-( all combinations. According to the manual there really seems to be
no option "nomessage" or were I too fast to give in?
Anyway, can YOU help me? I *know* that the standard 4gl way is to put a
menu on top of the form it belongs to. But, alas, it doesn't belong to a
form, I don't know which window is active, the only thing I do know is that
I have only three rows for that.
What did you say? The border? I NEED the border, it looks so ugly
without it... ;-)
Bye for now and thanks for your help,
-svb.
