Informix V5.0 There was a bug in versions before 5.06. The problem was in trying to sort and summarize the extent list preparatory to reporting. There will be a file in /tmp (or maybe $TMPDIR) containing all of the raw extent records so at least you can create your own report. You need to upgrade, might as well go all the way to V5.08 as a MAJOR tbtape bug is fixed there. BTW: I vaguely remember that the workfile had 'extent' in its name. Art S. Kagel
