Also you might like to consider Solaris 2.6 'cos it's quite a bit better, particularly with respect to memory handling and scaling when you add more processors ( ie the mutex control is much finer). There again you could wait for 2.7 which does fix a couple of the 'kernel can't add up' problems related to the various stats that are available.
