We haven't used Visual FoxPro, so no comment there. 2. Visual Basic is great for writing little apps, or apps that need integration with, say, MS-Office. We're just a straight client/server developer, and the database integration of VB4 was horrid. You have to do stupid things like ensure that people enter dates correctly and don't put character strings in numeric fields. Also, we had endless grief trying to develop useful base classes. And team development is clearly a foreign concept. For these and other reasons, we've put it on a back burner. Perhaps VB5 will shock us all - but somehow I doubt it.
