Although the p-code versions are the same, Informix have made a change between versions 4.12 and 4.13 and virtually NO programs will run unless they are "re-compiled" using the 4.13 RDS. Specifically, Informix have changed something in the DISPLAY command and any program that uses this statement will crash with an undefined opcode error. There may well be good reasons for this change but my major gripe is that Informix or Frontline (The sole distributors in the UK) didnt tell anyone that this change had happened - there isnt even any documentation on the release disks. This has caused us major problems with one customer that we did a platform change and upgrade to over the weekend.
