Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I understand the limit and the reasons the c call fails when writing to the
filesystem, but have been informed by the sysadm's at the office that 10.20
does support >2gig files although it might take some tweaking to the kernal.
One, can anyone validate this O/S support and speak about the required
configuration?
Two, would making dbexport think that it is writting to a streaming device
(specifying a tapedev that is a file) get over this problem if the
filesystem does indeed support > 2gig.
Any input is appreciated.
