Can' t get 4.13 client to work with 6.00 server

Installed RDS/ID 4.13, I-SQL 6.00 and OnLine 6.00. (No I don't know why either). Decided to put the 4.13 tools in a separate directory to avoid the risk of any conflict with the 6.00 tools. With everything pointing to the 6.00 OnLine, I can use dbaccess perfectly OK. To use the 4.13 tools, I set: SQLEXEC=/usr/informix6/lib/sqlrm INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix4 PATH=$INFORMIXDIR/bin:$PATH Simple 4gl programs now can't find the database at compile time. (we're talking OnLine, so no DBPATH problems). 4gl programs that do "main... display 'Hello mum'... end main" without going near a database compile OK and fail at runtime on "Cannot find xxxxx.iem".
