Windows Links to Informix C-Isam files

I am writing a Windows application which needs to make DLL, DLE, etc (whichever term is correct!) calls to routines that will allow it to access C-Isam files. The language I am using supports all of the usual DLL, DLE, etc features, but I need the routines to be linked to. Therefore, does anyone have, or know how to source, routines that will make this possible please? I am sure someone has already invented this "wheel"! C-Isam is a product of Informix, and is also sometimes known as the Informix "Standard Engine" (as distinct from their "Online Engine") I believe. As slight added complications, these files I need to access are actually held on another machine, accessed via NFS, and are written by cloned C-Isam routines (called D-Isam, from Byte Design) .... but that's another story.
