Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I have a rather small Database: ~150 tables, ~3-4GB of data.
For backup reasons we use ontape -s (in a DAT). Some times I need to restore
data from a single table. Cause I don't know if this is possible (and simple
and secure ..) with the "ontape" cartridges, I use to extract the night the
whole DB with "dbexport" in a separate partition. I know this is not quite
safe but sometimes it was very useful.
Any suggestions welcome

Hi there
what about onunload and onload? its fast but has its difficulties (e.g.
platform-dependency)
dbexport is the easiest, cleanest and most portable way. I'd rather stick with
this method
hope it helps
