According to the latest 10Q filed by Informix, it states Informix did the following: Net revenues: Licenses............................................ $ 89,462 $ 86,393 Services.............................................. 77,720 63,509 --------- --------- 167,182 149,902 The first column is this year 1st Qtr compared to last year's first qtr. > > Informix database engine scales well; great, but where are the > > earnings? > > We've got earnings, we're just going to be VERY conservative in > recognizing those earnings. > Sigh, but you also have a diluted stock because of the convertibles. You now have ~180 million shares vs 153 million prior to the conversion. This of course dilutes the earnings per share, which is what the street is looking at. But getting back to those revenue numbers. The dollar amount for the licenses is roughly the same as the year prior. This indicates slow growth of new customers. This is an area for concern. > Hrm. I work in R&D and I'm in Portland. Informix is a high risk company. It has to do a lot of things to correct its slump. Its done it once before, but who knows. -Mikey
