Q. How to change return column name to case sensitive

Hi, After executing a SQL select statement in Informix, how can I change the column name to another case-sensitive name such as in select lds_id ldsID from lds; I want the output to be something like: ldsID ----- xxx xxx xxx .. But it looks like Informix converts the column name to all lower-case. Is there an easy way to make it case-sensitive without change the environment variables?? Thanks. Email or post appreciated. --- Lucie C. Chan -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own

Without changing the environment, no. If you set DELIMIDENT in the environment, then you can. The real question is: why would you want to do this? -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
