If so you may be able to get hold of a tool called 'archecker'. I'm not sure if this works with Online 5.x archives or just Online 7.x archives. If yuo cannot use this tool (which only appeared recently and is an internal Informix tool and last i heard was in beta), then yes the only way is to try and restore. Does anyone at Informix know the current status of the archecker tool? -- David Williams
