Hi,
there's a little more to it, mainly you have to make the servers
known to each other via the sqlhosts file(s).
Also, afaik you have to enable connection between the two machines
involved for user informix to be able to connect (e.g. rlogin) without
password (e.g. .rhosts), aka as "trusted hosts".
Why don't you read the manual ?:
"IBM Informix Dynamic Server Administrator's Guide",
Chapters "High-Availability Data Replication" and "Using
High-Availability Data Replication". It contains step-by-step
explanations as well ...
