We are running a AXP 2100 with 40+ Gb RAID 5 disks, and it works fine too.
Remember to split your RAID disk in 2 GB slices, because INFORMIX doesnt
support larger chunks or offset to chunks.
Currently we are running 5.05 on the Alpha, waiting for 7.10UD1 to be ready.
With 7.10UC1 we found a bug in ontape (Could'nt restore blob data).
Performance-wise I have seen a BIG difference during backup and restore
between 5.0X and 7.10.
Clem, I would like to get a copy of your Alpha/INFORMIX collection too.
Do you have any info about 7.20UC1. I have seen, that it will contain 64-bit
support on the Alpha-platform, and it should be ready soon.
