No! it indicates that the oninit process was instantiated
with the -s flag.
2) Are all of these processes necessary
Yes! have a look at onstat -g sch
3) can I safely kill them off?
No comment.
4) What started all of them?
From the ps statement "root" started them. just joking.
when you look at onstat -g sch it may become clearer.
