NewEra ASCL (3-Tier) Errors #14649 and #14648

We're trying to extend one of our exiting NewEra applications with the Appl.Server Class Library to gain 3-tier report capabilities. However, we have been unable to get this to work, and Informix Support has been no help at all over the past month. I believe our problem is in our configuration files, but I can't figure out where... The problem is this: When we try to create a ixASRequestMgr, we're getting error #14649 back from the constructor. When we look at the log for Online on our server machine, it appears that our server fglexecd daemon might be having problems starting the server program. (Right now, until we've tested anything, the server just writes text to a log file on the server, and nothing is ever written.) By the way, our configuration is: NewEra 2.0 on Windows for Workgroups 3.11 Online 7.0 on Solaris 2.4 Has anyone encountered this before? Can anyone assist me in diagnosing this problem? Does anyone have a listing of the meaning of Informix errors #146xx? For a while we were getting #14648, then changed our configuration file and now get #14649. They aren't in our 7.1 Error Messages Manual. Has anyone gotten a working set of configuration files that I could compare to our system?
