To see precisely what is happening, run 'tbcheck -petT' command occasionally (it locks everything or even requires exclusive access to the database - I don't remember which - so if you are a 7x24 shop, you are in trouble). The command will report, among other things, first and subsequent extent size for all tables, how many of allocated pages are actually used, how much space is used, and how much wasted, by each index etc. Don't rely on number-of-pages-used column in systables, since it doesn't take into account pages allocated for indices. -- Dragi Raos 4-MATE Information Engineering (http://www.4mate.hr) Zagreb, Croatia >
