Using MS Access it may be a little hard using Informix-CLI. I am not
sure how it uses connections, so even if you where able to execute a
set isolation statement it may not work as expected. If you change tothe drivers from OpenLink it's however easy. You simply set up on the
server side that every time a connection request is received from MS
Access (or whatever other application you are using on MS Windows) any
number of sql statements (including of course set isolation) are
executed automatically by the driver before the connection is granted
to the user. Simple functionality realy, that any serious ODBC driver
should include (but doesn't - probably because those who made it
didn't care enough about the real world problems we all see so often).
