Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Who wants you to create date objects? ColdFusion? Who exactly
complains when you try something like that? What is the error message?
A statement like the one above can be still used in JDBC. I dont think
this is your problem (ok, setting DBDATE the right way in the jdbc
url might be necessary).
Please give us more details.

Thanks for your reply, Dirk.
The test box where I have ColdFusionMX installed is going through a
restore right now - so I can't get the exact error. The error message
said something about an invalid date as a string.
But, I did some queries on your suggestion of DBDATE and from what I'm
reading, it looks like that may solve the problem. After the server is
back and I can try that, I'll either post a "It worked!" message or
give you an exact error message.
Thanks for your input.
