Re: Perform Screen Too Large for X-window

Hi Bill, This may be completely off the point, but what is your TERM environment variable set to? If it is 'vt100', it will only use 24 rows by 80 or 132 columns, whatever the physical size of the window is. Try setting TERM = sun. (You may find that your script for firing up the development database does this already). If it's not this, then you have reached the limit of my limited experience! Our X-window version is x11r5. :-) :-) We are getting the error message: :-) :-) "Form image too large to fit in the screen window." :-) :-) It is understandable when there is an obvious mismatch, but :-) we have expanded the window and redesigned the form. Unless :-) we add inches of surplus x-window below and beside :-) the form, we still get the message. :-) :-) It would appear that the database is getting a false :-) reading about the size of the window. The form :-) screen size is 46 by 94 (6 by 8 inches) and it still :-) complains in an 8 by 10 inch x-window. :-) :-) One other thing we have noted is that the problem occurs :-) mostly on our run-time version. We can get the same form :-) into a much smaller x-window on our development database. :-) :-) Any ideas on what to do to fix this? :-) :-)
