RE: Running dbaccess remotely problem

I believe Informix licenses user connections to the database. So if you
needed to install the product on another machine to provide the connection
I do not believe there is a problem. You do have a problem if your remote
machine is using a different OS.
Informix-ers - Do you concur?

Hi,
Is it mandatory for me to install IDS on the client machine in order to
get DBAccess to run the client machine? This would create a license
problem for me - I only have 1 copy of Informix IDS....
Thanks,
