Hi, I'm running Online v7.1 on an HP-UX 9.05. Please consider the following: EXEC SQL declare curs_text_productV cursor for select create_time, product from text_products where product_id matches :productID_Str and version_number = :versions order by create_time desc; EXEC SQL open curs_text_productV; This takes *FOREVER* (read 7 - 10 seconds!!!) to execute. Specifically, the open statement. How could this be? Your insight is invited. This is a realtime database, so performance is of the essence. Email is fine too. -- Carol L.
