Agreed, The push with the release of MS Small Business Server to "proper" networking will move many more databases to SQL Server in even the smaller businesses, and from what I hear of Access 9 SQL is in there too, so the move in that direction is inevitable. Coupled with the free Upsizing tool they are making it as attractive as possible. My guess is to clear the way to bypass Jet. ( but this would leave VB and Access where ?) As you say the push to COM is on. - Hopefully I'll find out the whole story on the 21st. Well, onwards and (Upwards ?).
