Memory Fault

We're running Informix Online 7.24. The database is really busy, but whenever we use commands such as oncheck -pe or for that matter any of the oncheck commands we get a Memory fault. When we do other commands like onstat -g ses or onstat -g sql we get a message that essentially says error changing structure of systables. What does that mean? We're running on HP 9000 K380 using hpux 10.20. Any ideas?
