esql/c types

Hi, I'm a new user to the Informix database and am attempting to use ESQL/C. I would like to be able to define my own type in the declarations, so that I can store my selected data directly into a structure. ex: $MyStructure ms; where I could select into a member of the structure, say "ms.data_field". produces the error -32000, or bad data type indentifier. (I am including my header file, but I won't rule out any other stupid acts.) Thanks! Carol ****************************************************** Carol L.
