AZ IUG Meeting

ARIZONA INFORMIX USERS GROUP ---------------------------- Welcome to the July issue of the Informix User Group mailer. We would like to remimd everyone that the next meeting will be held on July 21 at 7:00 pm in the Community Room of the Esplanade West Tower-Level B1. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. The highlights of the next meeting will be: 1- Mr. Jeff Fishman of MITI, Inc of Long Beach, CA. Jeff will be introducing SQR Workbench from MITI, "the ease of programming a 4GL, retining the speed of a 3GL". This is an extremely powerful report writer for developers. SQR Workbench provides mainframe-caliber production reporting with the flexibility and scalability of client/server architecture. SQR Workbench meets the callenge of a heterogeneous computing environment by utilizing data from Informix and the other guys (SYBASE, ORACLE, INGRES, DB2, and others). 2- Choice Hotels will describe their implementation and utilization of the Informix family of products. 3- Rankin Technology Group will describe some of their SUCCESS implementations. 4- Bob Carrol will talk about some of the new products (NEWERA, and others?). 5- Informix World Conference notes and projections. NOTES: ----- Dues will be due during the next meeting (after July 21). The dues structure is still $50.00 per individuals and $200.00 per company (5 persons). We currently have 3 companies that have paid their dues, and need to get more support from those companies which have not joined. It is that time of year to think about next years officers. Think of candidates for the 3 positions (President, VP - Membership, VP - Programs). We will not be electing candidates at this meeting (July 21).
