Shared Memory

I have a question about the shared memory segments Informix adds dynamically in version 7.x. I use onmode -F to free the unused shared memory but this seems to only ever free up one segment regardless of how much is unused. Has anybody used this to free more than one segment at a time? Informix 7.23.uc1 AIX 4.2.1

If you are seeing unused segments hanging around after running onmode -F, then you should notify tech support.
