The informix install directory will contain some files under the root's
ownership (I used to carry a list of those files, but they have changed
in 7.3). But, the shared memory segments should be removable by
informix. After finishing the installation, the script fixes the file
ownerships and most of the files are owned by informix:informix.
The installed files have nothing to do with the shared memory segments.
Who owns the informix shared memory segments depends on who
brings up the server - root or informix. So, whoever owns the segments
only can drop them too.
If you install informix as user informix, some of the stuff won't work
properly and some others don't even run.
