Aix 6.1 IDS 11.50.fc7 We have started to migrate our indexes to 16k pages ... What is the recommendation for temp space ... should that remain at 4k .. or should it also move to 16k ... any benefit to doing this? Thanks ... Peter Logan Senior Database Administrator Phone: 616/878-8309

Hello! Best practices for raising the page sizes are specifically for regular data, you should only increase your temp dbspaces if they have lots of records on its tables, which normally doesn´t occurr, am I right??? There will be a better performance on large index, and larger tables, I mean.... But why would you want to try it on temp tables??? Remember that larger pages demands more I/O levels!!! Best regards.
