adequate size of logical log buffer

Environment: Informix 7.31 HP-UX PA-RISC 11i Hi, Is there any problem in setting the onconfig parameter LOGBUFF to a high value, for example 1024 or 2048 KB I know that the common values for this parameter are between 32 and 64 KB, due to initial Informix recomendation, some years ago, but nowadays, where the workload is high, perhaps those values are not enough. I'm preventing that the following message is displayed in the log: "checkpoint log record may not fit into the logical log buffer"
Increase the logical log buffers by the minimum you can to eliminate the message log warning. If you are using BUFFERED logging, then larger logical log buffers means that more of your committed transaction data is at risk for catastrophic loss in the event of a physical server failure or IDS crash. If you are using UNBUFFERED LOGGING, it may be wasted space since the logical log buffer is flushed as soon as a COMMIT record has been written to it be an UNBUFFERED database transaction. The logical log buffers should be sized to hold the contents of an average transaction to minimize the possibility of losing committed data (BUFFERED) or of simply wasting memory (UNBUFFERED) to no purpose.
