If your ultimate goal is to load the results of the SELECT into another table without massaging the data in Perl then try this SQL: insert into ANOTHER_TABLE(ama_cfc_at) SELECT ama_cfc FROM tblamah GROUP BY ..... You get the picture. Of course if you need to modify the result, this will not work. Art S. Kagel
