Database Explorer not opening (installation problem?)

I recently downloaded the trial version of Informix Online Workgroup Server 7.12. After creating the first new database, I have not been able to open either the database explorer or the sql editor. Database Explorer throws the error message : [informix][sqlinfmx.dll]SQL Error[-406]: Memory allocation failed. Out of 252.0 M total dbspace for the server, 249.5 M is free. There is about 980 MB more free space available on the drive. I have tried changing the virtual memory paging file size (which is presently 75-125), but that hasn't worked. By the way, I'm working on the NT 4.0 platform, with 64 MB RAM. The SQL Editor ofcourse, indicates: SQL Error[-329]: Database not found or no system permission. Where does the problem lie?
